Youtube Video – Watch it from 2:07

One of my closest of friends regularly shares good old video links, filled with nostalgia, of movie clips and songs that we both enjoyed in our growing up years. Every time he shares something, he mentions the specific “time” when I will enjoy the most or recollect something worthwhile. “Start at 1:54″ or “You can skip till 26:12; it’s a lengthy one” or some similar comment my friend will put for me. This certainly helps me save time, and quickly enjoy my break – browsing through specific time windows my friend has suggested.

Just few hours ago, when I wanted to share a video with someone, I noticed that Youtube has this feature! Of embedding the “start time” of the video you want your recipient to start watching from. This is very useful, and quite thoughtful of Google to do so.

Another case of simple, tiny, but great usability enhancement by Google. Here’s a screenshot…

youtubeWhat next? I can think how useful this kind of sharing can be for more applications: Slideshare/PowerPoint presentations, Music, Ebooks, PDFs.
