Codecademy teaches you how to code in an easy, fun, interactive way. Moreover you can learn socially (i.e., with your friends)! And it’s Free.

With Codecademy, you can learn to build websites, games and apps; you can track and share your progress, view your friends’ progress and hence enjoy a competitive learning path. The platform also allows you to participate in predefined courses with plenty of hands-on exercises. Users can create their own lessons and share it with others too.

Codecademy deserves a mention on our blog, as it scores very high on “engaging“, “easy to learn” and “effective” characteristics of usability.

A little over 2 months since they launched, Codecademy has more than 750,000 people learning their ways to code, sharing code, earning badges, and contributing to the platform with their own lessons.

This kind of a walkthrough based learning is really the need of the present, and the future of learning. Truly inspiring! Well done.
